How many of you eat or drink something that claims to have no sugar? Aspartame remains the most prevalent artificial sweetener, though sucralose and sodium saccharin are also commonly found. It is literally the defecation of genetically modified E. Coli after it is fed bacteria. [1] [2]
For those not lucky enough to have an immediate allergic reactions[3] to these chemicals, slower and invariably more serious side effects are of grave consideration. These side effects are often the culmination of years of residual toxins which are accumulated as people continue to consume these products without respect for their dangers. Side effects of artificial sweeteners include:[4]
· Cancer
· Weight gain
· Increased hunger
· Birth defects
· Lethargy and Depression
· Persistent Migraines
· Alzheimer’s Disease
When aspartame is ingested it breaks down into residual compounds including aspartic acid, phenylalanine and methanol (methanol poisoning).[5] It also further breaks down into formaldehyde (which causes cancer[6]) and formic acid, present in bee and ant stings[7]. All of this happens when aspartame is allowed to reach a temperature higher than 30 degrees centigrade[8]; you have to wonder why someone would want this product on the market.
What people fail to understand is that the human body has an internal temperature of approximately 37 degrees Celsius[9], so no matter what temperature you prepare your aspartame product at it will ultimately poison you from within.
